A video package begins with voice overs and clips of matches
Voice: On October 16, 1999 in a small BINGO hall in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvannia, a small wrestling promotion had its first show [Night Of Champions]. The roster consisted of local wrestlers and several Indy stars. The first XCW champion [Bruiser] & XCW tag titles [The Right Stuff] were awared in one night tournaments. On November 25, 1999 XCW co-promoted a card with the WWF. In the Main Event Dennis Gregory [now XCW champ] took on WWF champ, Triple H. The match was a no-contest when Raven & Big Show attacked. Then on the eve of the the new Millennium, WWF, XCW, and WCW combined for a HUGE Supershow broadcast from Madison Square Garden. XCW's biggest match of the night was when The Right Stuff defeated the WWF tag champions [New Age Outlaws]. By the end of 1999 the XCW title had changed hands 4 times [Bruiser, Dennis Gregory, Cody Micheals, & Taz]. Taz left XCW for WWF and took the belt with him. At the February 2000 Free 4 Brawl pay-per-view, Too Much Tim Morton won a 16-man Battle Royal to win the XCW World Heavyweight Title. In just a few months XCW was nationwide and had earned World Title status. A month later at Living Dangerously, Bruiser beat Tim Morton to win his second XCW Title. The XCW ICON...Prometheus won his second XCW championship at Wrestlepalooza 2000 in a 4-Corner Elimination match against Death, Lou Marconi and XCW champ, Bruiser. On JULY 2, 2000 a new ERA in XCW began when James Sims purchased ECW and combined the 2 companies. At the HARDCORE EVOLUTION ppv, Rhino became the first XCW/ECW champion, Brian Curtis won the TV title, & Axl Rotten & Balls Mahoney won the tag titles. This unification made XCW a surefire force in the wrestling world. On October 1, 2000, at Anarchy Rules the most talked about angle in XCW history came to a head when it was revealed that Mortis was indead the man he was fueding with [Prometheus]. It was all a swerve on Prometheus' group, xWo. Later that month at XCW's 1st anniversary show [Night of Champions] it was revealed that James Sims pulled off anoth coup, as he bought the struggling WCW. Sims decided to forgoe the ECW names and reverted back to XCW. Xtreme Champions of Wrestling was now on an even par with Vince McMahon's WWF in just one year. Scott Steiner defeated Prometheus to win the XCW title. On New Year's Eve 2000, XCW and WWF once again held what would become an annual event. In the main event Gangstar beat WWF champion, Kurt Angle in a 2/3 falls match, thanks to interference from HHH. But that wasn't all that happened. The Hardy Boys defeated the Union to capture the XCW tag titles and take them back to WWF. . At the BLOOD BATH ppv the mystery man in the 4Way match for the XCW title was revealed to be Road Warrior Animal Prometheus was severally injured in the match. At Revenge Chuck Palumbo & Sean O'Haire FINALLY defeated the Hardy Boys to get the XCW titles back in the company. For weeks leading to the GREED pay-per-view, a man only known as M.I.B. [Man in Black] was randomly attacking superstars. At the ppv, the MIB attacked Booker T during a triple threat match. The MIB was revealed to be Prometheus. Unfourtanetly That was the end of XCW as we know it as the company grew too big, too fast and XCW was in bankrupcey. Vince McMahon seized theh moment and purchased the company and merged it with the WWF. An Invasion storyline was concucted that saw WCW and ECW invade. There was no mention of XCW.

Madden: What a Rollar Coaster ride. But have no fear. After the break we will see how XCW got to where it is today.

On November 21, 2001 Jeff Jarrett appeared on RAw and attacked Honky Tonk Man who was being honored as the Life-Time IC Champ. Jarrett stole the IC title and took off. Several guys wearing XCW t-shirts also interfered in matches. Finally the XCW Invasion was here. At Armageddon, the Union defeated 3 Minute Warning and Jarrett beat Edge in a ladder match for XCW to win the rights to the Intercontinental title. But in the main event WWE sent a team of 4 against a team from XCW for control of WWE TV. RVD, Y2J, Beniot, & Eddie Guerrero beat Scott Steiner, Ken Shamrock, Prometheus, and Shane McMahon when Steiner turned on Prometheus allowing Beniot to get the pin and the win. XCW was gone from WWE TV, but as 2003 dawned XCW was back in a big way. Several new stars emerged such as Strangler and Dragonfyre. Jeff Jarrett emerged as the big star in XCW and Mr Sims regained control of the company he founded and signed a deal with the NWA. Now as another era in XCW begins XCW is poised to once again become a force in wrestling, but now there is more challenges than ever as WCW has been reborn and the recent formation of NWA's own promotion TNA.

Madden: After the break, Ken Shamrock will be in the studio.

Madden: Welcome back. Here he is, the winner of last weeks fatal four way match...the World's Most Dangerous Man, and a UFC Hall of Famer...Ken Shamrock!!!
Shamrock walks out and shakes hands with Madden and then takes a seat on the couch.
Madden: Welcome Ken. Thanks for comming.
Shamrock: Anytime Mark.
Madden: Well let's get right to the questions.
Shamrock:haha...alright.
Madden: So when Mr Sims called you and said XCW was comming back, what made you sign here instead with the NWA?
Shamrock: Well I've only ever really worked for two promotions, WWE & XCW. XCW is the only place that allows me to be me. In WWE I would have to wrestle their style, where as here I can use more of my UFC trainning.
Madden: That's cool. Speaking of UFC, Tito Ortiz debuted on TNA:IMPACT! this past week. What do you think about that?
Shamrock: Well Truthfully, I never really got to know Tito. My brother Frank has had more experiance with him, but I wish him all the luck in the world.
Madden: Would you ever like to face him.
Shamrock; Of course. Ortiz is a future UFC Hall of Famer. I would love the chance to compete against him.
Madden: Well now to the XCW title. You have held the IC title several times, but never the world title.
Shamrock: That's right, but that is all gonna change at BATTLE IN THE BURGH. It dosen't matter who wins that other 4 way match this week, because I am only one match away from winning my first World Title. And nothing and no one is stopping me.
Madden: Well I wish you all the luck in the world.
Shamrock: Thanks Mark, but I don't need luck.
Madden: Well fans come right back as we have two more matches tonight on Champions as well as a preview of this weeks card.
